How to Make a Hot Toddy

Baileys Irish Cream drink recipes make some of the tastiest cocktails on the planet. If you love a creamy drink, give some of these cocktails a try.

Baileys Irish Cream Drink Recipes

Baileys Irish Coffee

  • 1 cup freshly brewed coffee
  • 1 ounce Baileys Irish Cream
  • Whipped cream

In a mug, simply combine the Baileys and coffee and stir. Top the drink with whipped cream. You can always experiment with adding a little more Baileys depending upon your individual taste.

Thin Mint

  • 2 ounces chocolate liqueur
  • 1 ounce Baileys Irish Cream
  • 1 ounce cream
  • 1 ounce green Creme de Menthe

In a rocks glass, combine all the ingredients and stir. This cocktail tastes a lot like a Girl Scout Thin Mint cookie. Delicious!

Blind Russian

  • 3/4 ounce Baileys Irish Cream
  • 3/4 ounce chocolate liqueur
  • 3/4 ounce coffee liqueur
  • 1/2 ounce butterscotch schnapps
  • Milk

In a tall glass, fill 1/2 full of crushed ice, and then add the first four ingredients. Fill the glass with milk to just below the rim, and give the drink a gentle stir.

Baileys Burnt Almond

  • 3 ounces Baileys Irish Cream
  • 1 ounce vodka
  • 1 ounce amaretto
  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream

Cracked ice

In a blender, add about two cups of cracked ice, and then add the rest of the ingredients and mix until smooth. You can experiment with adding more ice if you don't want your drink quite so strong. Always serve this drink in a chilled glass mug.

Irish Hot Chocolate

  • 1 or 2 ounces of Baileys Irish Cream
  • Your favorite hot chocolate

In a mug, pour your preferred amount of Baileys, and then fill the glass with hot chocolate. You can top the beverage with whipped cream, but it's just as tasty without it.

Irish Float

  • 1 ounce Baileys Irish Cream
  • Your favorite soda (Root beer or cola works best.)

In a tall, chilled mug with ice, pour the soda until the glass is 3/4 full. Hold a spoon backside up just over the surface of the soda, and slowly pour the Baileys over it so it floats a bit on the top.

Layered Cocktails Made with Baileys

You can create cocktails that taste great and have visual appeal when you layer several spirits on top of each. To layer, you must begin by adding the heaviest spirit to the glass first, add the second heaviest next, and so forth. For the neatest results, pour each layer slowly over the back of a spoon placed inside the glass just above the previous layer and touching the edge of the glass. Rinse the spoon or use a clean spoon for each layer.

For each of the following recipes, pour the ingredients in the order they are listed. They are ideally made in a pousse café or cordial glass. Although measurements are given, you can adjust to your glass size by simply combining equal parts of each ingredient.
